Een visueel aantrekkelijke website alleen is niet voldoende om de bezoekersaantallen te doen stijgen, ook dient uw website te zijn geoptimaliseerd voor zoekmachines (ook wel Search Engine Optimalisation, kortweg SEO). Hieronder volgen een aantal tips die uw website hoger in de verschillende zoekmachines kunnen brengen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Title tag<\/h1>\n

In het bovenste gedeelte van de broncode van uw website vindt u verschillende meta tags (beginnend met <meta<\/em>). \u00a0Ook vindt u hier de title tag. De inhoud van deze tag geeft de titel van de website.<\/p>\n

De titel is het eerste waar zoekmachines en potenti\u00eble bezoekers naar kijken. U kunt, voor het beste resultaat, hier (maximaal) twee trefwoorden in noemen.<\/p>\n

Bij de description<\/em> tag vult u de omschrijving van de pagina in, bij keywords<\/em> de trefwoorden van de pagina. Wanneer u trefwoorden invult die niet overeenkomen met uw pagina dan komt u minder snel naar voren in zoekresultaten.<\/p>\n

Heading tags<\/h1>\n

Zoekmachines doorlopen ook de inhoud van uw website. Het is van belang dat de heading tags (<h1> tot en met <h6>) juist worden gebruikt. Uw pagina titel kunt u het beste omsluiten met de h1 tag. Overige belangrijke koppen kunt u omsluiten met de overige heading tags, waarbij h2 het belangrijkste is en h6 het minst belangrijk.<\/p>\n

Alt gebruiken bij afbeeldingen<\/h1>\n

Zoekmachines kunnen (nog) niet goed overweg met afbeeldingen. Om uw website leesbaarder te maken voor zoekmachines is het handig om het alt<\/em> attribuut te gebruiken bij afbeeldingen. In het attribuut plaats u de omschrijving van de afbeelding.<\/p>\n
